West Indies off-spinner Sunil Narine has been reported for a suspect bowling action during the third ODI of the three-match series against Sri Lanka that was played in Pallekele, Kandy.
Narine, who bagged four wickets in the three ODIs, would now have to undergo testing within 14 days, but would be permitted to continue with the bowling until the result of the test came out.
It is the first time that Narine has been reported for a suspect action in an international game. The 27-year-old was earlier reported for his action during the 2015 IPL season and the Champions League T20 in 2014.
West Indies, who had lost the ODI series 0-3, will now play a two match T20 series against Sri Lanka starting today.
