'Shane Watson' real hero of IPL 2019 finals, played with bloodied knee without telling anyone

Shane Watson almost pulled off another chase in another Indian Premier League finals. Watson did it the last time when he scored a century and helped his team win the title, he almost did it this time but an unfortunate run-out snatched Chennai Super Kings’ chance to win the trophy for the fourth time.

Harbhajan Singh revealed that Watson was batting with an injured knee against Mumbai Indians in the finals. According to Harbhajan, Watson injured his left knee while diving to save his wicket. He received six stitches after the match. Harbhajan took to his Instagram account to share the story.


Harbhajan in his Instagram story wrote, “Can you guys see the blood on his knee..He got 6 stitches after the game..Got injured while diving but continue to bat without telling anyone. That’s our @srwatson33 almost pulled it for us last night.”

Watson scored an amazing 59-ball 80 and almost finished it for Chennai Super Kings until he was run-out in the last over of the match. Lasith Malinga was bowling the last over for Mumbai Indians and defended 8 runs for them as he dismissed Shardul Thakur off the last ball when CSK needed just 2 runs to win.

Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by just 1 run to lift their fourth IPL trophy. Mumbai Indians are now the most successful team in the league’s history winning it in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019.
