Indian opener Rohit Sharma matched Sachin Tendulkar’s milestone of six centuries across all editions of the World Cup, during his knock of 103 against Sri Lanka in the league stage.

During the ICC World Cup 2019, Rohit Sharma, who became the first batsman to score five centuries in a single edition of the quadrennial event, in his first match scored an unbeaten 122 runs off 144 deliveries, which included 13 fours and 2 sixes against South Africa, he was also named the man of the match in that game.

In India’s match against the arch foes Pakistan during the World Cup 2019, Rohit’s 140 off 113 balls sailed the men in blue to a comfortable 89 runs win, his hundred included 14 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 123.89.

Rohit Sharma played a scintillating knock of 103 off 94 ball at a strike rate of 109.57. during that game Rohit Sharma went on to equal Sachin Tendulkar’s long standing record of six centuries across all editions of the World Cup. He was also awarded the player of the match in that game.
