Veteran batsman Gautam Gambhir has been recalled for India's Test series against New Zealand as KL Rahul is out with an injury.
Gambhir will be back after a gap of two years. He had produced some good innings in the Duleep Trophy where he scored two half-centuries including two 90 plus scores.
The 34-year-old batsman, elated with the news, took to Twitter to express his emotions.
Excitement of a debutant, certainty of experienced, nervousness of a novice...am feeling it all. Eden here I come loaded with ambitions.

Rahul is ruled out of the remainder of the Test series due to a right hamstring injury that he sustained during the first Test in Kanpur, while running between the wickets.
"The BCCI medical team has confirmed that team India opener, KL Rahul has an injury in his right hamstring and he is ruled out for the remainder of the Test series against New Zealand," BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke said in a release.
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Gautam Gambhir as Rahul's replacement for the next two Test matches," he added.
