India’s World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni has prolonged his break from international cricket to November and is highly unlikely to feature in the three match T20I series against Bangladesh at home. As per the report by the Mumbai Mirror.

The veteran wicketkeeper has distanced himself from international cricket since the ICC World Cup 2019 concluded and he did not feature in India’s tour of the West Indies and the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa at home.

In the absence of MS Dhoni, India’s selection committee have chosen to groom youngster Rishabh Pant as the man behind the stumps in all three formats with Pant taking the gloves in both T20I series against the Caribbean side and the Proteas.

Since India’s dismaying exit from the World Cup 2019 in England, MS Dhoni’s cricketing future has been a subject to fierce speculations with T20I World Cup still being over a year away.

MS Dhoni has been away from lime light after returning from the World Cup in England, but he has not been able to stop the questions pertaining to his future.

Previously, Indian captain Virat Kohli said that MS Dhoni continues to be a valuable asset for the men in blue as long as he is at hand, while on the other hand MSK Prasad had rebuffed all the reports on Dhoni’s retirement.

India are scheduled to take part in three match T20 series against Bangladesh starting November.
