Mohammad Shami charged with domestic violence; FIR lodged by the cricketer's wife

Indian cricket team pacer Mohammed Shami has been charged with domestic violence and several other charges like rape and cheat by his wife Hasin Jahan. The couple is continuously in the headlines for their statements.

Hasin Jahan has filed the complaint against her husband and now, Kolkata Police have come in an action.

Police has registered the FIR against the 27-year-old pacer Mohammed Shami and other four members of the family with the IPC sections under 307- attempt to murder, Section 323- punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376- rape, Section 506- criminal intimidation, Section 328 and Section 34, including section 498A, which contains the cruelty against a woman by her husband or relatives.

However, some sections are non-bailable and carry prison terms of 10 years or more.

The couple got married on 7 April 2014 after having two years relationship. Their relationship was started in 2012 during the Kolkata Knight Riders party. The couple has blessed with a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
