Hong Kong cricketer Kinchit Shah chose to make the Asia Cup match against India memorable on Wednesday as the batsman proposed his girlfriend in full public view at Dubai stadium.

All cameras focused towards Shah, who played a 30-run knock against the men in blue. When he got down on his knees and proposed his girlfriend. The photo and video of his effort went viral on the internet as his girlfriend also accepted the proposal. Kinchit’s teammates were also seen cheering for the couple.

Chasing a total of 193, the 26-year-old batsman came to bat at number four and took 28 balls for his 30. He smashed two fours and a six before he was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 18th over.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock of 26-ball 68 runs, which paved the way for defending champions’ 40-run victory over Hong Kong and entry into the Super 4 of the Asia Cup on Wednesday.

Suryakumar’s scintillating knock lifted India to 192 for two, the Mumbaikar easily overshadowing Virat Kohli’s sublime half-century after Hong Kong opted to bowl first.
