Steve Smith is having a great Ashes series in England as he has already scored 751 runs at an average of 125.75 from just 6 innings he played. During Australia’s first innings in the fifth and final Test, Steve Smith scored 80 runs, which is his lowest in the series so far.

The England cricket team have done everything they could to get Steve Smith out but they got no result. Steve Smith missed three innings after he was hit by a deadly Jofra Archer bouncer. Smith was ruled out of the match to make sure that there is no sign of a concussion.

During the fifth match, when Steve Smith was batting, England wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow gave him a scare. Bairstow positioned himself as if he was about to collect the ball, when Smith was running towards the striker’s end. Smith thought that Bairstow was about to dismiss him and he took a full-length dive to get back to the crease. The ball, however, was nowhere near the English keeper and the former Australian skipper admitted later that he had been done in by Bairstow.

After the match, while interacting with reporters Steve Smith said, “He got me there, didn't he? Dirtied my clothes. He didn't say anything, I don't think but he got me. I didn't know where the ball was. Bloody thing. Faked it. He got me. I don't know what else to say.”
