Madras military band will perform at IPL opening ceremony ahead of CSK vs RCB match

The Indian Premier League’s 12th edition begins with the blockbuster encounter between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Unlike previous editions, this time there will be no opening ceremony before the match but a military band will perform at the venue.

The Madras Regiment Band based out of Chennai will perform at the MA Chidambaram stadium before the felicitation program of the Indian Armed Forces, where the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will donate Rs 20 crore for the welfare of Armed forces.


The game will begin at 8:00 pm and the toss will be at 7:30 pm and the Madras regiment band will play from 7:20 to 7:30 pm.
