IPL 2019: Delhi Capitals player Rishabh Pant broke MS Dhoni's record against Mumbai Indians
The hard-hitting batting of Delhi Capitals wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant helped Delhi to win the first match in the 12th season. Rishabh Pant hit the hard-hitting half-century and it helped Delhi Capitals to set the target of 214 runs for Mumbai Indians. Rishabh Pant took only 28 balls to hit his fastest 78 runs.
Rishabh Pant in his inning completed the half-century in just 18 balls and with this Pant also became the player who hit the fastest half-century against Mumbai Indians in the history of IPL. Earlier this record was in the name of Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. MS Dhoni in 2012 hit a half-century in just 20 balls against Mumbai Indians.

Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Well, this decision of Rohit Sharma turned good till the Mumbai Indians bowler took the two early wickets of Delhi Capitals but later Shikhar Dhawan and Collin Munro helped Delhi to cross the score to 100 runs.

However, when Rishabh Pant came to bat, he struggled for some time but as soon he came into in his own zone he just smashed Mumbai Indians bowlers. This was Rishabh Pant's 9th half century in IPL history. Well, Mumbai Indians lost this match but their newly came batsman Yuvraj Singh hit a half-century in his first match in Mumbai Indians.
