IPL 2018 : This South African Star is the Super hero of heroic win against SRH

There were plenty of emotions in Wankhede Stadium when Faf du Plessis to guide Chennai Super Kings to their seventh IPL final on Tuesday night in Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium against SRH.  Despite batting order disturbed at the end he executed his task very well. 

After the charismatic win against SunRisers Hyderabad, CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni praised the South African star cricketer Faf du Plessis.


Riding on the when Faf du Plessis shoulder CSK managed to pull off a two wicket win over the SRH. Du Plessis scored a sensational 67* runs in just 42 balls and helped CSK chase down a delicate target of 140 in just 19.1 overs.

“Faf’s innings, is where experience counts. It’s not easy when you don’t play a lot of games but I always say you need to train your mind as well. That’s where the experience comes in. You visualise what your role is, how you can contribute and Faf has been brilliant,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony, as quoted by Scroll.

This was a emotional come back for the team as well as for CSK skipper after serving a ban over the spot-fixing scam of 2013.

Chennai Super King stand on the bank of a third IPL title, Ambati Rayudu has made 585 runs and Dhoni himself has scored 455 runs. Dhoni is just 6 runs short of his best ever haul in a single season.
