What a jaw-dropping and startling match! A marvelous Virat Kohli innings led India to an amazing triumph over Pakistan. We all saw; the former Indian skipper single-handedly led the ‘Men in Blue’ to victory in a situation when the top four batters were out within the first seven overs.

Kohli stood on the ground till the end and was unbeaten on 82 runs off 53 balls. The credit also goes to R Ashwin, who hit the ball over the in-field with India needing one run off the last ball to take the Rohit Sharma-led team over the line.

At the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rohit Sharma-led India won the toss and put Pak in to bat first as the team is good at chasing runs. The Babar Azam-led team finished their quote of 20 overs at 158 runs, losing 8 wickets.

Chasing the runs, the top four batters of the ‘Men in Blue’ returned to the pavilion within the first seven overs. As the number of balls decreased and there were no boundaries for a while, the Indian supporters fell silent.

However, Virat was seen battling and pushing himself. After 15 overs, the Indians picked up the pace and managed to level the scores thanks to Kohli's magnificent back-to-back boundaries.

Watch the celebration here.

"I was in the dressing room. I don't have any words left. You got to expect something like this in a game like this. We wanted to stay in the game for as long as possible. That crucial partnership was the game changing moment for us. Those two guys are experienced. Staying calm and taking the game deep was very critical. Good for our confidence. Always crucial to get off the mark like this. We were in no position to win this. It has to be Virat's best knock playing for India," said Rohit Sharma.
