Ind vs Aus: Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane still standing strong, taking India to 172/3 at stumps on Day 2

India are 172-3 at stumps on Day 2 in Perth. India lost early wickets in Murali Vijay and KL Rahul after bowling Australia out for 326 runs. Mitchell Starc of Australia bowled Murali Vijay for duck and Josh Hazlewood dismissed KL Rahul for just 2 runs. Rahul continued his poor streak of performances after showing patience in second innings of Adelaide Test, where he made 44 runs.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane both made an outstanding half-century to take India from 82 to 172 at stumps Today. Kohli is at 82 not out while Rahane at 51*. Pujara made 24 runs from 101 balls he played before he gave his wicket to Starc and was caught by Tim Paine.


Mithcell Starc took 2 wickets from the 14 overs he bowled and gave 42 runs with an economy of 3.00 while Josh Hazlewood was another Australian who took a wicket from his over giving away 50 runs in 16 overs. Nathan Lyon proved to be the most economical one in the Australian camp with his 22 overs 34 runs. Pat Cummins was also good with his economy of just 2.35 giving just 40 runs from 17 overs.
