India suffered a poor start in their chase of 287 after Mohammed Shami brought back the visitors into the game after he took a six-wicket haul on Day 4 to end Australia’s second innings.

Then Cheteshwar Pujara went for 4 runs when he was caught behind off Hazalewood’s ball. Then came the big moment for Australians, when skipper Virat Kohli gave his wicket in Lyon’s ball to Usman Khawaja. Kohli was playing a 17 off 40 balls.

India trailing at 55 runs lost Murali Vijay in the 21st over when he was bowled out by in form Nathan Lyon and Ajinkya Rahane was sent off the field by Hazlewood after making 30 off 47 balls when India was at 98 runs.

Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant will be on the pitch tomorrow on Day 5 when India will come to bat. India is currently trailing behind 175 runs while Australia needs 5 more wickets to win the match.

In the first innings Australia made 326 runs while India were all-out for 283, thanks to Virat Kohli’s 25th Test century. Australia in their second innings made 243 runs, with Usman Khawaja making 72 off 213 balls.
