Harbhajan Singh takes jibe at MSK Prasad led selection panel for dropping Sanju Samson from series against WI

Former Indian spin sensation Harbhajan Singh took a jibe at the selection committee for snubbing Sanju Samson from the squad for the forthcoming series against West Indies.

Following the announcement of the squad for the T20I and ODI on Thursday. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had tweeted "Very disappointed to see @IamSanjuSamson dropped without a chance. He carried the drinks for three T20Is & has been promptly discarded. Are they testing his batting or his heart?"

Reacting to Tharoor's tweet, Harbhajan wrote: "I guess they r testing his heart. #selectionpanelneedtobechanged need strong people there.. hope dada @SGanguly99 will do the needful."

The 25 year old was called up to the Indian side for the three match T20 series against Bangladesh in the wake of an impressive display in Vijay Hazare Trophy match, where the latter smashed a double century.

However, Samson was not given a start off in any of the games and was snubbed for the upcoming series against the Caribbean side.

With Rishabh Pant under fire after a series of bad performances, there were strong odds that Samson would get a shot against Bangladesh. But, the team management stood beside Pant throughout the series.

Rishabh Pant, however, couldn’t come out of his grind as he scored 27 runs off 26 deliveries in the first match as India reached a new low and could only score 6 off nine balls in the third T20I.

Rishabh Pant’s display as wicket keeper also raised some serious doubts, with a spate of errors and poor DRS calls.

The 22 year old was recently released from India’s Test squad so that he could represent Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

India will face West Indies in three T20I and as much ODIs, starting 6th December in Hyderabad.
