Fans are mad on the International Cricket Council (ICC) after rain interrupted the first semi-final between India and New Zealand in World Cup 2019. Fans took to social media to troll the ICC and requested the apex governing body to never conduct an ICC event in England.

The rain stopped the play when New Zealand was batting in the first innings and was at 211-5 in 46.1 overs. Match officials waited till 11:00 pm IST but the covers were coming off and on again as it started drizzling when the ground staff was soaking the water.

Indian bowlers did a good job at restricting New Zealand batsmen as Jasprit Bumrah gave the team its first breakthrough by dismissing Martin Guptill for just 1 run. New Zealand batsmen played really slow for the first 25 overs. Kane Williamson was dismissed for 67 runs off 95 balls and hit just six fours in the process. Ross Taylor is still batting at 67 off 85 but has very few overs left to do something.

The first semi-final game between India and New Zealand of World Cup 2019 is washed-out and the game will resume from the same stage tomorrow on reserve day. The game will start from 10:30 am local time and at 1:30 pm here in India.
