South Africa’s Ab De Villiers is a cricketing legend. He is a batting stalwart, who is capable of annihilating any side on his day. And if there is anyone who knows a thing or two about how to decimate bowlers, it is Virender Sehwag.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) fever had already taken over the country, and the Bengaluru based franchise the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)got the better of the Mumbai Indians (MI) in a exciting match on 9th April 2021. And now, former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag has shown his funny side to the fans while commending ABD.

Sehwag in a cheeky fashion said that the power of Ab De Villiers vanquishes every other power present. The former indian opener also said that the IPL logo was designed after De Villiers, the ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ further commended Harshal Patel for his remarkable performance in the match against Mumbai Indians, where the bowler pulled off a five wicket haul.

Checkout Virender Sehwag’s tweet below:

The 14th season of the T20 league kicked off in an exciting manner. Batting first, the Mumbai Indians put up a total of 159/9 on the scoreboard. The key figure of the Mumbai based franchise was Chris Lynn, who smashed a 35-ball 49 runs. For the RCB, it was Harshal Patel who caused a lot of problem with the ball.

The pacer dismantled the Mumbai Indians batting line up and scalped five wickets, giving away only 27 runs in his 4 overs. In response, it was RCBs ‘Big Three’ that came to its rescue. Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Ab De Villiers proved to be insturmental for the Bangalore side in their win.

While Virat Kohli amassed 33 runs, Maxwell scored a quick 39. However, it was Mr 360 who sailed RCB to victory. He knocked a 27 ball 48 runs to guide his side to a 2 wicket victory over one of the most successful teams in IPL history. Harshal Patel was handed the Man of the Match award for his sublime display with the ball.

Nevertheless, the Indian cricket board put out the full list of players who registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction which is set to take place on 12th-13th February in Bengaluru
