The arch rivalry is all set to begin tomorrow with India and Pakistan clash in the Champions Trophy final at the Oval but Mehboob Hasan, the Uncle of Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed will be cheering for 'men in blue'.

Hasan hails from the city of Etawah in Uttar Pradesh and is confident for team India's win and also believes that his nephew's team is not as strong as team India.

“His team cannot match our team. I always root for Team India. We have better players and our team is superior. I can bet that India will win the trophy,” he said.

When asked about the pressure on the Pakistan skipper at this moment, he said: “Where is the pressure? He (Sarfraz) is playing for his team. I am happy he is doing so well in life and cricket.”

Hasan is a senior clerk at Etawah’s Agricultural Engineering College and lives in Etawah with his family.

Sarfraz’s family runs a stationery shop in Karachi and his mother Aqeela Bano (Hasan’s sister) moved to Karachi after marrying Shakeel Ahmed.

Sarfraz share a very close bond with his uncle despite tricky visa regulations and they met second time in June 2015 when Hasan visited Karachi for Sarfraz’s marriage.

Before this Sarfraz visited Etawah for the first time when he was four-year-old along with his mother to attend Hasan’s marriage in 1991.

“I am happy he is doing so well in life and cricket,” says Hasan.
