Boy crying after Dhoni's run-out

MS Dhoni run-out in the final of Indian Premier League is a topic of debate. Many feel that the decision of third umpire Nigel Llong was wrong and Dhoni should not have been given out. A video of a boy crying after Dhoni’s run-out is going viral on social media.

The boy can be seen cursing the third umpire in the viral video. According to Times of India, the boy angrily said in Tamil, “Third umpire will commit suicide for the wrong decision of the umpire on the ground.” In the video, the mother of the boy can also be heard saying that don’t cry as it could be a match-fixing.

In the end, Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by 1 run to lift their fourth IPL title. The match went to the wire as the last ball was bowled by Lasith Malinga to dismiss Shardul Thakur. This was the 28th game in IPL 2019 that went to the last ball.

Shane Watson’s heroics went in vain as Chennai failed to chase down 149 runs. Watson single-handedly scored runs for CSK as he hit 80 off 59 balls. Kieron Pollard scored crucial runs for Mumbai Indians as he hit 41 off 25 balls and remained unbeaten.

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings was playing their 8th IPL final with Dhoni playing his 9th, once with Rising Pune Supergiants.
