From being called a fitness freak to having being compared with the great Sachin Tendulkar, Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli has thoroughly enjoyed accolades for his exploits, both on and off the field. But, no one would have thought that the Indian Test captain is a miser.

Yuvraj Singh, who is a dear friend and teammate of Virat, has revealed that the high-earning Delhi lad is actually a 'big miser'.

While talking to radio station Radio Mirchi, the out-of-favour southpaw spilled the beans on Team India's outings and went on to label Virat as 'sabse bada kanjoos' (biggest miser) amongst the Indian cricketers.

"There have been many misers in our team, especially the seniors and I cannot reveal their names because this is a very sensitive issue. I don't how to explain. It's like this is yours and this is mine, you will pay for this one and I will pay for that one," Yuvi said in a free-flowing interview with RJ Suren.

"You know, in our Punjabi culture, we don't have that, if we are going out, then one person pays but some people are different and currently, Virat Kohli is the biggest miser. So, every time we go out, it's me always paying and I have to force him to give the money," he added.

Yuvraj also targeted veteran seamer Ashish Nehra while saying, "Usually Ashish is very generous but he gets miserable at times. When he got married, he used to say, please try to understand, I have to manage my wife and kids, I cannot spend much."

"It's not like they are miser in that sense but it's just a fun banter between us like why aren't you paying," Yuvi joked.

The 34-year-old didn't shy away from unveiling the exploits of former Indian speedster Javagal Srinath. "Among the senior players Javagal Srinath was very generous.

After playing so much of cricket with him, he finally gave us a dal chawal treat and we uploaded that picture on Twitter with a caption 'thank you Srinath Ji, for the treat after 15 years," Yuvi said.
