Babar Azam

Even though Babar Azam is deemed as the star batsman of the Pakistan cricket team across all formats, the Pakistan skipper did not get a hero's reception when he failed to perform for the Asian giants in the 2nd Test match against England.

Leading the batting line up of the Pakistani side in the 2nd Test, Babar played a gritty knock of 75 off 95 balls in Pakistan's first essay at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

While many Pakistani fans expected their skipper to continue his free-scoring run in the 2nd innings, the in-form batsman showcased a rare batting failure as Babar was dismissed for cheap by Ollie Robinson.

Babar was simply out-smarted by the England pacer before the end of the 19th over. Babar was mercilessly trolled by Pakistani fans after the ace cricketer perished for a mediocre individual score in the 2nd innings.

Taking an aim at Babar Azam, Pakistani fans castigated the batsman with 'Zimbabar' chants at the stadium. Babar, who has been Pakistan's go-to batter across all formats, only managed to score 1 off 10 balls as Pakistan lost its second wicket for a score of 67 in 18/5 overs. Babar-led Pakistan ended up posting 198-4 in 64 overs at stumps Day 3.

Opener Abdullah Shafique scored 45 off 94 balls while Saud Shakeel (54* off 123 balls) and Imam-ul-Haq (60 off 104 balls) staged Pakistan's fightback in the 2nd innings. Pakistan needed 157 runs to win the 2nd Test when the play resumed on Day 4 at Multan. Talking more about Pakistan's meeting with England in the 2nd Test, England were bundled out for 275 in its 2nd innings.
