Woman gets hit by flying turtle; what happens next is horrifying!

A 71-year-old woman was riding with her daughter on Florida’s Interstate 95 and all of sudden a flying turtle smashed through the windshield of her car, striking her and left her injured, Daytona Beach News-Journal report said.

The incident took place on Wednesday. The old woman’s daughter pulled over her with the help of another motorist.

As per the 911 recording, both women were left surprised after seeing the turtle.

“There is a turtle in there,” the man can be overheard saying.

“A turtle!” the daughter exclaimed. “An actual turtle?”

However, the gash due to the turtle drew a lot of blood, but the woman didn’t suffer a serious injury. Reportedly, the turtle was likely crossing the interstate and then a vehicle could have knocked it into the air.

“I swear to God this lady has the worst luck of anything,” the daughter told the 911 operator as she tended to her injured mother.

On the other hand, the turtle also had a few scratches on its shell and later it was also released back into the nearby woods, Port Orange Police officer Andre Fleming told.
