In a bizarre incident a mare died after being stabbed and sexually assaulted.
Blaze, an 18-year-old female pony, was put down after the incident at a farm in Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom overnight on 17 August.
The pony's owner Zoe Wright said the animal had been stabbed twice in the chest by the attacker who then "sexually violated her".
Expressing her loss on Facebook she said "My lovely Blaze was the nicest pony, she has been part of our family for 18 years, the complete low life scum who did this to her needs to face justice for what they have done," she said.
She also warned other horse owners to beware of anyone acting suspiciously and to check their animals for any suspicious cuts.
She has also announced 1,000 pounds reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest. The Scotland Police are investigating the matter and are working for finding some lead which can help them in arresting the culprit.
