In a shocking incident, a couple had a bad experience during a parasailing trip in Diu after their parachute rope snapped.

The incident took place on Sunday when Ajit Kathad and his wife Sarala Kathadent went parasailing on the beach off the Una coast of Gujarat.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the video, the rope of their parachute can be seen tied to the powerboat that was dragging it. As the couple reached the height, their rope suddenly broke and the video ends.

According to reports, the couple fell straight into the sea. Luckily, neither Ajith nor his wife Sarla was injured in the incident.

Ajith’s elder brother Rakesh Dharecha was also present at the venue and was recording the video of their adventure.

According to the Times of India, Rakesh said that he was recording the video and wasn’t aware when the rope broke. He further told that he can see his brother and sister-in-law falling from a great height and he felt so helpless during the moment.

The spine-chilling video was shared on Twitter by a user named Rahul Dharecha, who has asked authorities to take action.

He shared the video along with a caption, “Parasailing Accident, Safety measures in India, and they said very rudely that this is not our responsibility. Such things happen. Their response was absolutely pathetic.”

The couple left in shock after the incident. “While we remained afloat thanks to our life jackets, my wife was in a state of shock and couldn’t speak for a few minutes. We requested help from the powerboat to which our parachute was anchored but they told us the lifeguards would save us. Around five minutes later, the lifeguards came on another powerboat and rescued us,” Ajit told The Indian Express.

As per reports, Ajit is a multipurpose health worker while Sarla is a teacher.
