Man beats Indian gaur with stick

A gut-wrenching video has surfaced on the Internet wherein a man is seen beating an injured Indian gaur with a stick. The video is annoying netizens and called it a shameful act.

The incident came to light when the video was uploaded on a Facebook page called Nilgiri Live 24*7 on November 30.


As per the video caption, the incident took place in Ketti, a small town in The Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu.

In the viral clip, the man can be seen brutally beating the injured animal with a stick.

However, the animal can be seen protecting itself by charging at him before running away from the spot.

The video caption also revealed that the forest department had also arrested the accused who beat and tortured the bovine.

The viral clip was also retweeted by Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Supriya Sahu. She condemned the act and wrote, “Terrible Act. Totally reprehensible.We will act on this at once."

 

Ever since the IAS officer retweeted the video, it has garnered 18k views on Twitter and several comments.

A user commented, "Very shameful, strict action to be taken."

Another said, “Terrible act very very sad should not treat wildanimals like this dont hurt them give them safe passage resp madam please take strick action against the culprit save wildlife”
