Locked in an Apartment for Three Years

The woman, a resident of Chakkarpur, Gurugram, refused to let her husband enter the apartment or allow her son to go outside due to her fear of the virus. Her husband had to send money for groceries and other necessities, but he was not allowed to see his family.

The woman asked her husband to get another flat for work. She continued to live in fear and kept herself and her son locked in the apartment for three years.

Rescue and Examination

The police were able to rescue the woman and her son, and they were taken to the hospital. The woman's mental condition is being examined, as her behavior appears to be a result of severe anxiety and paranoia related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is unclear if the woman sought medical help for her condition. Her son, who is now 11 years old, has also been affected by the situation and will need support and care as he readjusts to life outside of the apartment.

Investigation Continues

The case is still under investigation, and it highlights the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic can have on mental health. Fear and anxiety related to the virus led many people to isolate themselves, but it is important to seek help if these feelings become overwhelming.
