Alligator hunts snake swimming in canal; scary video goes viral

A video of an alligator hunting snake in a canal has gone viral on social media.

The clip was shared and was recorded by a Texas woman named Kristy Garza at Surfside Beach when she was with her family at her parent’s beach house to celebrate the holiday.

She posted the video on her Facebook account along with a caption, “I have never seen an alligator or a snake in the canal much less at the same time in 40+ years.”

Garza told a news portal about the rare scene that she started recording the incident after seeing a snake in the canal.

In the video, the snake can be seen swimming in the water before being killed by the alligator.

The ferocious gator also swims swiftly over the snake after seeing it and attacked the reptile.
