#Biharpolls: FIR registered against Sushil Modi for offering freebies

In a latest development, an FIR has been registered against Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi today for trying to allure voters by promising them free laptops, TVs and sarees during his public address ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

A district police official stated, "An FIR was lodged against Modi on the charge of alluring voters at his public meeting in Bhabhua, the district headquarters of Kaimur."

Elections in Bihar to elect the 243-member assembly will be held in five stages between 12 October and 5 November. Counting of votes will take place on 8 November.
