Samuel L Jackson's Elijah Prince may have brought Osteogenesis imperfecta to the big screen in the 2000 M Night Shyamalan'sfilm, Unbreakable. But for 23-year-old Rahul Nema from Madhya Pradesh, this rare, incurable medical condition is all too real.
Rahul Nema has suffered from 300 fractures in his life. However, despite his injuries, Rahul did not give up on his dream to become a public servant. In order to complete his studies, he went to Jabalpur to take up the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exam.
Rahul, who is currently persuing a Master of Science (MSc.) in Madhya Pradesh's Sivni district, has been awarded the Rashtriya Bal Puruskar. He devotes his time studying in order to land a job. "One day I will achieve what I want and will give all the happiness to my family," he said.
