Group F game saw Portugal and Austria battle it out for the coveted three points. But, Portugal struggled to convert plenty of chances they received throughout the game.

In the 78th minute, Portugal was awarded a penalty when Marin Hinteregger brought Ronaldo down in the penalty box. This was once again a chance to score late in a game, and Cristiano stepped up to take the penalty but kicked it only to hit the post.

Austrian star and Bayern Munich player, David Alaba, admitted that he expected Portugal to lead the game 1-0 when he saw Ronaldo take the penalty, goal.com reported.

This was the only close chance for Ronaldo to score a winner for the team.

According to a report in goal.com, Alaba, when asked about how he felt when Ronaldo stepped up to take the penalty, he answered, saying, "F**k."

The Bayern Munich left-back admitted to the fact that Austria got lucky to draw against Portugal and believes that his side can put up a tough game against Iceland.

Goal.com quoted David Alaba as saying, "It's not a bad result. We were very lucky because they missed the penalty. We're glad we got a point from this game. We know it will not be an easy game against Iceland. They are a great team, as we saw in the previous game against Portugal, but we know what we are worth and we will do everything we can to win."
