The Indo-Swiss duo of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis lifted their third consecutive Grand Slam title on Friday, 29 January, with a straight set win in the women's doubles final at the Australian Open.
Sania and Hingis won the title with a scoreline of 7-6, 6-3 over the pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.
The Wimbledon and US Open champions started off on a bright note. They won a closely-fought first set via a tie-breaker.
However, the second set turned out to be an easier affair for the top-seeds, as Sania and Hingis closed it out 6-3 to seal another major title.
With the win, Sania and Hingis now hold the women's doubles title at three of the four Grand Slam tournaments.
