Do you remember the child actor in the movie Masoom in the year 1996. Hia name is Omkar Kapoor and well, you might remember him from the movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 in which he played the character of the engineer boy, Thakur. Well, the recent updates claimed that the actor will now be seen playing a pivotal role in Ekta Kapoor's next show.
Few days back, reports started doing rounds on the internet that claimed that producer Ekya Kapoor is all set to make a TV remake of popular Bollywood film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham but soon the reports were flushed off by Ekta herself who took to her social media and denied all such reports.
Ekta, on her Twitter account cleared the air and said that she isn't making any such show but another family drama. She tweeted, "I’m not making Kabhi Khushi Kabhi gum! I’m making a about rich family that own a pharmaceutical business! The story is completely diff!! Soon on. SONY!"

A lot of names were doing rounds that including that of Rajat Tokas, Erica Fernandes etc but it was said that Omkar has bagged the lead role in the show of an ambitious person named Ritwik Noon. He was also excited to be a part of the show and to act on a platform like Television.
He, talking about the same to Mid Day, said, “Getting a chance to be part of the television industry, especially with Ekta ma’am, makes me feel blessed. On the work front, my character, Ritwik, is ambitious and a go-getter. On the personal front, he is a charmer.” He further added, “TV has a wide audience and I want to make a mark in the industry. I’m looking forward to showcasing my talent and earning the love of the audience.”
But, as per the latest reports by Spotboye, the actor won't be a part of the show anymore since he has stepped back which was cleas as he did not turned up for the promo shoot. The reason behind the same is not clear yet and Sony TV is still busy in finding a answer from the actor himself.
A closed source also told the portal that the possible reason why the actor might have cancelled the acting was because of his role of a father, for which he wasn't comfortable as he wanted to play the role of a son on the show.
