Shocking! Karan Oberoi of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin fame arrested by Mumbai Police on rape and extortion case
In a shocking series of events, Television actor Karan Oberoi who rose to fame through the show Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi has been arrested by Mumbai Police under the charges of raping and blackmailing a woman on Monday. The information was given by ANI through a tweet that read, "TV Actor Karan Oberoi arrested by police in connection with an alleged rape case. More details awaited."
Further the report state that an FIR has been filed at the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai under sections 376 and 384 of the Indian Penal Code. The accused, who was last seen in the web series Inside Edge, was also blamed for sedating and extorting the lady. Not only this, the actor even recorded a video which he used later to blackmail her.

As per reports, the woman happens to be an astrologer and met the actor in the year 2016 through the dtaing app, Tinder. She said that the actor told him that he isn't interested in keeping a relationship with her but in January 2017, he sexually abused her and even made a video of her about which he informed her the next day.
The lady in the FIR said, “Using the video the victim blackmailed me and took money from me. However, whenever I asked him about marriage he kept ignoring it and would ask for more money. Recently, when I insisted on the marriage, he threatened me and said do whatever you want to do.” While the police officer said, “We have registered an FIR and a probe is on to verify the allegations made by the complainant.”
