Soon after the popular show Ishqbaaaz ended, the fans wanted a remake of the show starring the lead couple Surbhi Chandna and Nakuul Mehta or wanted to see them in a new show together. Well just after that reports started pouring in saying that the Shivaay and Anika of the small screen would be seen in the remake of Sanjivani, which happened to be an old medical drama. He even gave a confirmation about working on the project but did not said anything about the cast of the show.
Talking about making a remake of the hit show of 2002 he said that he is working for the new show but it all depends on the channel although he was excited to sign the contract. Talking about the show that came in the year 2002, he said that it was the first show for which he got credited as the creator. It was even said that the show would go on-AIR after the Indian Premiere League (IPL) ends.
Talking about the same, a closed source said, “The show will go on air post the IPL. There have been a lot of meetings with the production house to discuss details of the new show and the channel has liked the idea. This one will be made on a big budget and will its tone will be like the earlier two shows.” The source even confirmed that the two actors have been roped in by the makers of the show.
However, the creator has denied all such reports of him joining the show. Previously he tweeted, "Guys this is absolutely untrue and I’m sure this is a lovely pair but would appreciate that we put an end to all this conjecture..." And yet again he has informed an entertainment portal that nothing of this sort is happening and the two are not a part of the show till now.
The 2002 show became quite a big hit during its time so much so that a sequel of the same titled as Dill Mill Gayye came up that had Jennifer Winget, Karan Singh Grover and Karan Wahi. However the original cast of the show had Gurdeep Kohli, Arjun Punj, Mihir Mishra, Shilpa Shinde, Iravati Harshe amongst others in the lead role. The title song of the show was sung by Sonu Nigam himself.
