Karan Singh Grover, you'll be surprised to know which actor was the first choice for Boss: Baap Of Special Services!
After remaining absent from the small as well as big screens for quite a long time, the handsome hunk of the industry finally decided to make a comeback by making a debut in the digital space through Ekat Kapoor and ALT Balaji's new web-series titled as Boss: Baap Of Special Services where he will be seen in the lead role alongwith Sagarika Ghatge. But do you know, the actor wasn't the first choice for the lead role?
Yes, that's true! Not Karan, but popular host and comedian Maniesh Paul was the first choice for Grover's role. The confirmation about the same was given by a closed source who informed an entertainment portal and said that his role in the show finalised until before a week of announcement, he got replaced. Talking about the same, the source said, "Maniesh Paul was supposed to play the character which Karan Singh Grover is essaying in the show."
The source further said, "Things were also finalised but a week before the announcement, the actor got replaced and Karan stepped into his shoes. When we dug deeper into the reason behind it, our source said the money Maniesh Paul demanded was high and hence things didn't fall into place.”
In an interview that Karan gave, he opened up about the show and said that he is quite excited to be a part of the show and is thankful to Ekta, who happens to be the superpower behind many careers including his. He said, "Like it is meant to be! BOSS…from the name of the show to the concept, the extremely talented director Ankush Bhatt, the writer like no other Ghalib and the fact that BOSS herself (Ekta) is creating this series. I couldn’t be happier or more excited.”
Karan, in the show, will be seen playing the role of Keshav Pandit in the mystery thriller. Talking about the other actors in the series, the names include those of Daljiiet Kaur, Kanica Maheshwari, Sonali Raut, Ayaz Khan, Mahesh Shetty, Gaurav Gera among others. What's your take on this?
