The feature is available for Android phone after testing it for several months.

Now onwards, users can protect their app with the help of the fingerprint sensor on their phones. Earlier, many of us doing this via third party app but now, there is no need to use the other app as WhatsApp is offering the same feature natively.

1. Update your WhatsApp to the latest version from the Google Play Store.
2. Registered your phone number.
3. After installing the new version, open the WhatsApp on your phone and tap on the three-dot menu on the top right corner.
4. Click on Settings option
5. Click on Account option and then under the Privacy section, you will find the Fingerprint Lock option.
6. Tap on the option
7. Then, open the ‘Unlock with Fingerprint’
8. Make your fingerprint.
9. Congratulations! Your fingerprint unlock option is activated now
