After PayTM, Whatsapp's payments feature will help you in transferring money to friends

The instant messaging application, Whatsapp has launched its new feature for its users to make their life more easy and smooth. Earlier, there were many expectations have been made for the upgradtion and many new changes in the application like group video calling feature to introduce in the app.

After giving rest to all the news regarding the Whatsapp new features, this time Payment feature has been launched by the app on Sunday (11 February). The new function also registered its name as India is among the first countries in getting the payment option. While the new feature will be rolling out to the Indian users in a phased manner.

Android phone users could be able to take the benefit of the function, who have their devices updated to the latest version which is version 2.18.46. However, iOS users will also be able to transfer money to their friends via Whatsapp very soon because the feature to roll out in a phased manner.

Whatsapp has already gained popularity due to its features and, currently, it is having more than 1 billion monthly active users globally, out of which about 200 million are from India. Likewise, PayTM, Google Tez and many more apps providing payment services, Whatsapp too in the line of doing the same thing as bringing the new platform for its users, i.e. UPI-based payments option.

Remember, this payment method will only for limited users now. No one can do merchant payments yet. Both the users will have to install the updated version of the application. The new feature will be available in the Whatsapp settings. This new function is available in the Beta version.
