A number of people are expected at the Menlo Park headquarters of online social networking giant Facebook, when Narendra Modi visits on 27 September for a Townhall question and answer session with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

In anticipation of what is being projected as a very exciting event in Prime Minister Modi's five-day visit to the United States, a dress code and other rules have been introduced

According to Tracy Van Grack, Director of the Brunswick Group, which specializes in corporate relations, and is managing the public relations aspect of the Menlo Park event, the dress code for the event is business formal (suits and nice dresses, no sleeveless shirts or shorts).

The check-in time for broadcast trucks and/or outlets with equipment must be no later than 6.30 a.m. Pacific Time and for media no later than 8 a.m. Pacific Time.

Van Grack further stated in her advance note that all media will be allowed to enter the facility at the same time, and therefore, there is a need to arrive earlier. All media have been told register and receive credentials, or they will not be allowed in, and instructions have gone out that only press (media) who have RSVP'd will be able to attend and cover the event.

Participants have been told to check in at Building 14 (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025).

As far as guidelines to be followed before, during and after the event, Van Grack said, "All attendees must present a photo government ID (state-issued driver's license or ID, or passport) and press credentials, if available."

Everyone attending the event will be required to pass through a security checkpoint prior to entry. Phones and cameras will be allowed, but weapons, laser pointers, noisemakers, cans, glass bottles, thermos-type containers and food are not permitted. Large personal bags (including tote bags, backpacks, and messenger bags) will not be permitted. Cameras and video equipment have beens excluded from this restriction.

The event will start at 9.30 a.m. Pacific Time.

Additional materials will be available at newsroom.fb.com. The live stream is available at newsroom.fb.com/livestream/. WiFi arrangements have also been provided.

All buildings will be closed, and media will not have access locations other than the Townhall question and answer venue. Until the conclusion of the event, all participants will have to remain in their designated areas.

There will be no tours of the campus.

Live broadcasts will not be allowed inside the facility. Recording and photography will only be allowed inside the Q and A venue. All still and video cameras must be on designated risers and Mult box hookup for audio will be available (audio will be in Hindi).

Prime Minister Modi will be speaking in Hindi, but Facebook will offer translation headsets for attendees.

Participants have been told to drop off their translation headset after the event concludes.

Satellite coordinates will be in English, Hindi and other languages from 3 to 6 p.m. Washington Time.
