The winners of the prestigious Kerala State Film awards 2015 have been declared by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Kerala State Minister for Forest, Transport, Sports, Environment, and Cinema. Dulquer Salmaan bagged the best actor award for his performance in Charlie while Parvathy won the best actress award for her brilliant act in Ennu Ninte Moideen and Charlie.

Dulquer's name as winner came as a surprise to everyone as the actor's name was reportedly not in the final candidates list for best actor award. His father and Malayalam superstar Mammooty (Pathemari), Prithviraj (Ennu Ninte Moideen), Kunchacko Bobab (Valiya Chirakulla Pakshi) and Jayasurya (Su.. Su.. Meanwhile, Malayalam heroines Manju Warrior (Ennum Eppozhum) and Amala Paul (Mili) were nominated as the last round candidates for best actress along with winner Parvathy, who won most of the best actress awards this year.
