Villain: Trailer of Mohanlal's action thriller emerges as the fastest Malayalam trailer to cross 5 million views
The trailer of Malayalam actor Mohanlal's Villain just scripted history. Directed by B Unnikrishnan and produced by Rockline Venkatesh of Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhijaan fame, the action thriller will see the Malayalam superstar portraying the role of a retired cop named Mathew Manjooran. Villain stars Manju Warrier in the female lead. The film also marks Mohanlal-Manju Warrier duo's sixth collaboration after Aaram Thampuran, Kanmadham, Summer In Bethlahem, Ennum Eppozhum and soon to be released Odiyan.
Earlier, Catch had stated that Villain trailer is set to cross the coveted 5 million views on Facebook.
And on Thursday, the trailer of Lalettan starrer created history by not only crossing 5 millions views, but also becoming the first Malayalam trailer to cross the same in shortest period of time. It's worth mentioning that Villain trailer took just 6 calendar days to set the new record on Facebook.
Villain also marks the Malayalam acting debut of Tamil stars Vishal and Hansika Motwani and Telugu actors Srikanth and Raashi Khanna of Madras Cafe.
