The shooting of Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss' project is currently going on at a brisk speed in Chennai. The film, which is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, marks the Kollywood debut of the Telugu cinema icon. Ace cinematographer-turned-director Santhosh Sivan will be cranking the camera for the film.
In a recent interview to a leading daily, Santosh Sivan has revealed that the excitement Mahesh Babu's presence brings to film set is beyond belief. He also added that his star power is tremendous.
The Urumi director was quoted as saying:
"The amount of excitement and energy the presence of Mahesh Babu creates in Chennai is astonishing. His star power is enormous. We have shot close to 20 days in Chennai with some major portions covered. We have got the best of combination that will give this film a great avenue to explore the commercial arena to a greater level."
Mahesh will be portraying an intelligence officer in the film, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. The first look of the film expected is to be revealed during Dusshera.
