SIIMA 2016 (Malayalam): Prithviraj, Nayanthara bag best actor awards, Nivin Pauly's Premam wins big

The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA 2016) were held in Singapore on 30 June and 1 July. The awards for the Telugu and Kannada films were distributed on the first day, 30 June while the awards for Malayalam and Tamil cinema were distributed on 1 July.

As expected, young superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran won the Best Actor Award for his portrayal of Moideen in Ennu Ninte Moideen. Nayanthara bagged the Best Actress trophy for Bhaskar The Rascal.

Malayalam hit machine Nivin Pauly won the Critics Best Actor award for his film Premam, which also bagged the film of the year. Parvathy won the critics Best Actress Award for her performance as Kanchanamala in Ennu Ninte Moideen.

Best Male Singer: Vijay Yesudas (Malare-Premam)

Best Female Singer: Baby Shreya (Enno Njanente-Amar Akbar Anthony)
