Enthiran 2.0: Shankar shoots scenes with Akshay Kumar in Chennai mall

The shooting of the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar-starrer Enthiran 2.0 is in progress in Chennai. The 10-day long shooting schedule commenced on 13 May 2016 with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who plays the main antagonist in the film. Director Shankar shot a few portions with Akshay at a popular mall in Chennai - Vijaya Mall.

Earlier, Shankar had planned to shoot the film in the presence of the public. However, he later dropped the plan and decided to shoot the film on Wednesday in the early hours, between 2 am and 6 am. Shankar is planning to wrap up the Chennai schedule by Sunday, 22 May 2016.

Enthiran 2.0 is touted to be the most expensive film to be made in India. According to reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 350 crores. The sequel to Enthiran stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, 2.0 will release simultaneously in both Tamil and Hindi in 2017.
