Akin to it's Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada versions, the Malayalam dubbed version of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali : The Conclusion is doing good business in Kerala. The war drama, jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao, and Prasad Devineni was released on April 28.

Catch had previously reported that the SS Rajamouli film has become the top opener and fastest Rs. 25 crore blockbuster at the Kerala box office.

And now, Baahubali 2 emerged as the highest grossing film of 2017 at the Kerala Box Office.

Reportedly, Baahubali 2 has minted a massive Rs. 40 crore at the Kerala box office. It's a record considering that the film had crossed the coveted club in just 10 theatrical days. With this feat, Baahubali 2 has also emerged as the highest grossing film of 2017 in Kerala. The film has surpassed the lifetime collections of Malayalam superstar Mammootty's recent blockbuster The Great Father.

Baahubali 2 is now only the sixth film and first non-Malayalam film to cross the Rs. 40 crore mark in Kerala. The previous Rs. 40 crore grossers in the state were Mohanlal films, Drishyam, Oppam, Pulimurugan, Nivn Pauly's Premam and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ennu Ninte Moideen.

Baahubali 2 stars Prabhas in dual roles along with Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Rana Daggubati, Ramyakrishnan, Nassar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
