Janatha Garage vs Baahubali: 3 pre-release overseas records set by Mohanlal, Jr NTR, Unni Mukundan film
The much-awaited Telugu release of the year, Janatha Garage is slated to hit the screens on 1 September 2016. The cast of the Koratala Siva directorial includes Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Telugu superstar Jr NTR, Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nithya Menen, and Marathi actor Sachin Khedekar.
The action-entertainer is slated to hit overseas screens one day in advance, on 31st August.
While the film is just one day ahead of its theatrical release, here are four new overseas records set by the Mohanlal, Jr NTR, and Unni Mukundan starrer.
1) Janatha Garage has beaten Baahubali's record to be the biggest Telugu release in UAE. The Mohanlal-Jr.NTR-Unni Mukundan starrer is releasing across 48 locations in the United Arab Emirates alone.
2) Except for USA, Janatha Garage broke Baahubali's records in other countries. The film is slated to release in a massive 189 theatres overseas excluding USA. With such an impressive line-up, Janatha Garage has beaten Baahubali to become the biggest non-USA Telugu film ever.
3) Janatha Garage will soon be the first Telugu film to be screened in Southeast Asian countries Philippines and Brunei.
