Enthiran 2: Yet another expensive schedule for the Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar Film

The remaining portions of Enthiran 2 featuring lead actors Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar are slated to be filmed from October, but the makers, Lyca Productions, is spending crores for other scenes as well. Earlier, Catch had reported that a whopping Rs 20 crore has been spent by the makers to shoot the much-awaited climax fight sequence between the Thalaivar and Bollywood Khiladi.

And now according to Kollywood reports, the unit of Enthiran 2 has recently concluded a massive and realistic car blast scene in Chennai. Reportedly, the blast sequence was shot with the help of many military tankers. However, neither Rajinikanth nor Akshay Kumar were featured in this scene, yet it cost Lyca Productions crores.

Enthiran 2, a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, is touted as the biggest Indian film till date. The film, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman and founder of Lyca Mobile/Productions, has been made at a budget of Rs 350 crore - making it the most expensive film yet. The first look of the film is slated to-be-revealed in November.
