Another record for Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam as satellite rights sold for Rs 11 crore

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is yet to finish shooting Brahmotsavam. But the film is already earning money for the producer Prasad V Potluri. According to reports, Zee Telugu has brought the satellite rights of the film for a whopping Rs 11.5 crore.

Previously, Catch reported that the overseas rights of the film had been sold for Rs 13 crore. The film has beaten the record of Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh - which was sold for Rs 10.5 crore. The Mahesh Babu-starrer also broke the record set by the 2015 blockbuster, Baahubali - the rights of which were sold for Rs 9 crore.

The final shooting schedule of Brahmotsavam is currently underway at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. The film also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Pranitha Subhash. The supporting cast includes veteran stars like Sathyaraj, Revathi and Jayasudha. The Sreekanth Addala directed film is scheduled to release in the third week of May.
