Former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has announced that he will invoke his contractual option of a rematch against current champion Tyson Fury in a bid to avenge the shocking loss he suffered last month.

The Ukrainian boxer saw his nine-year reign as world champion come to an end after suffering a unanimous points defeat against Fury, who claimed the WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight titles in Dusseldorf on Saturday, 28 November.

The judges scored the fight 115-112, 115-112, 116-111 in favor of the Britain.

Reflecting on the rematch, Klitschko admitted that he was really frustrated after the fight and said that he wanted to show that he was a much better performer than what he had produced during his loss, Sport24 reported.

Klitschko said that he couldn't show his full potential at any time of the match, adding that failure is not an option for him in the rematch.
