Some of India's most iconic sportspersons, including Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, and Bhaichung Bhutia, will star in a video featuring the national anthem, ahead of the country's 67th Republic Day.

The video, set for a grand launch on 24 January in a five-star hotel in Mumbai, has been produced by former cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni and his wife Rasika.

The music for the video has been composed by Ram Sampath while Abhjit Panse is the director, Times of India reported.

"It's a movement to inspire our young generation to play sports because it teaches you not just to compete, but bounce back too. Our tagline is 'apne desh ke pairon ko apne desh ki mitti par rahne do'," Kulkarni told TOI.

Kulkarni, who is also the founder of the Mumbai-based International Institute of Sports Management (IISM), added that sports is a great medium to reach out to millions of people, and is proud to have come out with the initiative.
