Renowned Mexican wrestler dies while wearing intricate costumes and masks

The wrestling legend La Parka II aka Jesus Alfonso Huerta Escoboza died after suffering severe in-ring injuries on January 11, 2020. He passed away at the age of 54.

As per the reports of Luch Libre AAA, he died while wearing intricate costumes and masks. Reports also suggested that La Parka II took his last breath due to the injuries he sustained in a fall during the wrestling event held in October.


On Friday, Huerto Escoboza had signed of kidney failure and was put on a ventilator. The next day, his lungs and kidneys failed.

"We are very sad to report that our friend and idol of Mexican wrestling Jesús Alfonso Escoboza Huerta 'LA PARKA' has passed away," Lucha Libre AAA said on Twitter. "We extend our support and condolences to his whole family and raise our prayers so that they may soon heal from this"

La Parka II began his career as a wrestler in 1987 and toured Mexico and the world with AAA ‘under the mask of La Parka’, for more than 20 years, the wrestling company said. Originally, Huerto Escoboza was from Hermosillo, Mexico.

He was also the top winner of King of Kings, an annual tournament organized by Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. He had bagged several titles like Triplemania Cup and Antonio Peña Cup.
